Every though about monetizing you search box on your blog or site? With PerdictAd this is possible. The PerdictAd advertising service allows you to add a plugin or code to your site that adds an auto-suggest feature to your search box and contextual advertisements to to bottom of the search suggestion box. There are a few options for the type of search suggestion box with different styles, rss add ins, the type of ads to be displayed (images, text, dedicated or none). Visitors type in your search bar, they see auto complete results and ads that are related to the term they are searching. When a visitor clicks the ad you gain revenue from those clicks.

Getting Started:
The system is easy to setup and get the Auto-Complete box on your site. You just sign up, create your box. Predict allows you to add the code straight to your existing search box or if you do not have one the program will generate one for you. For Blog users they also have plugins for Wordpress, Blogger and Typepad so that you just drop it in your plugins folder and activate it and then you can choose from the available options in your Admin Panel.

Then if you would like to join the ad network you can apply though the Monetization Tools button at the PerdictAd site in the user control panel. Once you have applied and your site is reviewed PerdictAd will then create advertising content for you and ads will start appearing when visitors use your search box. Then you are set to go. You can use the auto-compete box before you are approved or you can use it with our ever selling ads if you just want the nice system for your search box.

Ad Network:
PredictAd advertising is a PPC program. The program though is a revenue sharing system that is 50/50 for the ad network ads and 80/20 for private ads. The private ad system allows you to manage add your existing advertisers into your search box ads and PerdictAd will manage there campaigns and pay you 80% of the income.

Payments:
Payments are made by check with a minimum payout of $25.

In Conclusion:
The program seems interesting enough and would be non-intrusive on visitors sense most search engines now have auto-complete it would not be much different to anyone using your search box and the script does not interfere with regular searches though out your site. I think it is a nice idea or an alternative to the Google search box. I have not really tested the full capacity of the PredictAd box yet. I did install the Wordpress plugin to see how it would work. I may actually use it at a later date because I really like the idea, I’m just not to excited about the 50/50 revenue share.
