Yes that’s right if you have the money you can now buy Johncow.com. I was doing some sitehoppin last night and ran across Nierva.com where he mentiod the John Cow site being up for sale. Was new news to me. but it looks like the site has been up for sale for a few days so far. We shall have to see who bites at the $25K minimum starting bid. It seems a bit high, but if you look at all the work that has been put in to the site and the stats it’s not really that bad of an offer. The site makes at the most $2,500 a month off of diffrent advertising networks, so you can look at it as if you will be making your money back in less than a years time if you bid on the site and win.
The sell is the whole package including the blog, the domain name .COM, .BIZ, .INFO, .ORG, and .US, along with some of the social network acconts associated with the blog. The sites SEO and stats are nice with a PR 3, Alexa of 22,100 and tons of backlinks and readers. . It’s to bad that the blogger is selling such a great blog that would probably make more in the long run than selling it. I’m sure if I had a few grand laying around I would definatly be bidding on it.
You can find out more about the sell of the blog here and see the auction on sitepoint.com. JohnCow is even offering 5% of the sell price if you can sell the blog so if you get soneone to buy it though you, you can get a nice little cut of the price it sells for. I wish Johncow the best in selling his blog and hope he gets this asking price. We shall see if it goes under new management in the future.
“JohnCow.com is a widely known and popular MMO blog. Ever since the blog launched on the first of July 2007, it has hit the ground running and within just a few months its build up a very recognizable name within the make money online niche. It would be very easy for the new owner to continue the site, as its obviously being authored under a pseudonym. I’m not really a cow.”
