April 2008 Month Review

April has come to a close and it’s that time again for a monthly review. As you know Blogtomic was formerly Blogging4cash.com and this marks the 4 month period of the site, but only the 1 month period of Blogtomic so some of the stats will be a little lower than last months review because of this change. I do like the new name a lot better and as some of you know Blogging4cash was unindexed by Google so that is why I switched, the funny thing is B4C is now indexed with google after 4 months. Oh the humor…. I am glad to say though that traffic does seem normal if not a little better than before, Thanks to great tools like Sitehoppin, Entrecard, and Stumbleupon. I hope by the end of May my stats will be back to where I left off. As far income from the blog it still has not really meet my $100 monthly goal. I am still spending a lot of time on side projects and doing some freelance design work on the side to pay the bills (remember you can hire me).

Blogtomic.com Earnings for April 2008
The numbers did okay, I got about 80% of this months income from Sitehoppin Beer Stocks. Thanks to all who purchased some under me. I really appreciate it. The stocks seem to be bringing in more that AdSense for the time being where I have made almost nothing out of it. All in all I think the revenue for the month turned out OK, could be better, could be worse.

March 2008 Review – Month Three

March has come and gone. The month seemed to go by fairly quickly. Maybe because of the somewhat nicer weather and not that much snow. Its a good thing because I was getting a bit of the winter blues, and I’m glad to see spring coming in nicely. It now marks the end of another month with Blogtomic.com and the three month marker. I was not to thrilled with the outcome of March and it did a little lower than the previous months. It was really a step back from February, but hopefully April will be a better month. I was not as active in March with Advertising and other things as I had a few things going on that I wanted to complete and get done on the side. TheSEOtree is finally finished and I am almost finished with another project that is not related that I have been working on for about 6 months. I did start a small marketing campaign that I will talk about in a later post called the $100 plan and will let you know how that went for traffic and all. So far it has not been to bad.

The goals for this month were kinda low to my expectations but April is a new month and I will work on a few other angles and test a few more options out there to see what works and what doesn’t work. I guess it is really all about trying out new things and finding what works and what is a waist of time. So lets have a look at the stats for March.

The stats were okay, not as good as February but not bad. Alexa went down a good bit, but page views per day dropped a small amount and total views for the month were down on unique viewers. Hits though were a bit higher.

Blogtomic.com Earnings for March 2008
The numbers are still not that impressive, and the total went down a lot from Feb. were I made like $70. My goal is to reach at-least $650 a month and seems like a big goal, but this would at least cover rent, anything over that would be for my daughter. I was hoping for at least $100 even this small goal seems hard to reach sometimes. So lets hope for better next month when I will focus more on marketing and maybe try out a few other ad networks as I still dropped a few of them from last month.

As some of my put away income is slowly decreasing and time to start doing something diffrent before I’m out of money.

February has finally come to and end and marks the two months of Blogtomic.com. Seems like it has been a long month and a lot of work to keep posting on schedual and doing some new projects here and there on the side like Playcraving.com and TheSEOtree.com sense I am expanding on a few ideas and not putting all my eggs in one basket, if you caught my post of making money with alternative sites. February was a good month and stepped up a lot from January as for as stats and income has doubled so that is a good thing. They are better than last month but still a bit off from the goals for the month I had set. I have even dropped a few ad services or put them on the back burner for now as they were not generating any income as far as I could tell.

The stats are holding pretty well and have increases double from last month. The site is doing around 300-600+ visitors a day with 6,036 unique visitors and 9,965 total. Which is what I was atleast hoping for. Maybe this effect will keep on in to March and months to come.

The numbers are still not that impressive, but they have doubled+ from Jan. were I only made $33.52. My goal is to reach at-least $650 a month and seems like a big goal, but this will at-least cover my monthly rent and anything over that to hopefully put some away for my daughters college and have money to do things with her. I’m not one to worry with fancy cars or big houses, quite happy with not living rich and famous. I was hoping for atleast $100 for my goal this month an cut it shout by $30, but as I said it was still double from last month and who can complain money is money.

Though they are all nice services I though it best to cut the ones I was not seeing much progress with and will try a few others in months to come to replace those.

I think this month I may focus alittle more of paid advertising as I have not done much with it and a little bit of money can go along ways. Entrecard is almost all that I use to buy ad links and ad spots, which works out well for a free resource.

Been thinking:
I may drop my post rate down some to like 4-5 a week trying to keep up with 7 post a week especially when my daughter is over is a bit hard. Either that are I am going to search for a few guest post or do interviews, link love on these 2-3 days, maybe a weekly report on each Sunday or something. Just a few ideas to think about.

Design:
I touched up the layout and rearranged a few things around the middle of the month on the site and did some cleaning up. This may take place again soon if I have time away from other projects, but for now I think I’m some what content with the site as it is now.

February 2008 Review – Month Two

One month has finally gone by sense I launched Blogtomic. I have been working hard on the site, in the middle of the month I did a redesign and sense then I have added some new features and been keeping up with gathering ideas to write about and making some good friends and contacts along the way. One month seems like forever when you are working on building a reader base and a good source of traffic. I have hit a few bumps here an there in the first month and hope to weed out a few things. Overall it has been a good month. My Alexa and Traffic are where I would have liked them to have been, Google I can not say the same for as for some reason Google keeps ignoring to index this name for some reason. It was previously owned and I am wondering if that may have something to do with it, sense that is one of the only reasons I can think of not being indexed yet.

Lets take a look at this months stats:

I think the stats for the site are doing really good with around 200-500 visitors per day with 3,331 unique visitors and 6,157 total visitors and 39,079 page views. This is way more than I had expected and I think for the first month the numbers are not to bad.

Blogtomic Earnings for Jan. 2008:
The numbers are not as impressive as I would like, but it’s a start and better than nothing at all. If you have been reading the site you may have noticed the “Help me buy a plane ticket.” at the bottom of my post. I modified the “Buy me beer” Wordpress Plugin so that anyone willing to help me and my daughter out with buying our $700 ticket to fly home to SC can donate. Tickets are not cheap and I sometimes wonder why it’s full price for a 3 year old to fly, just another way for “the company” to rip us off. We are hoping to go down in Feb. or Mar. and it would be great to get the money so that my daughter could see her other grandparents. Feel free to donate as much or as little as you prefer. Today Blogtomic is 14 days old so i though i would give out some stats on the site and show some totals. Sense the site is just starting out I think it is doing really well and thanks to all my readers and visitors. I do hope the 2nd half of the month gets better for the one month report. So far I have made enough to go buy a meal at Wendy’s now just to get enough for the rent and I will be happy. I have already meet some great knowledgeable people and made a few friends in this week.
